Bournville Village Festival 2024

📣 Bournville Village Festival is a community festival for local families and children run by volunteers 🎪

Every year local children perform in the Maypole at Bournville Village Festival. The production, presentation and teaching of the Maypole dancers is the voluntary work of both Olivia Walsh and Vicky Rice along with a few other helpers. Without the children and the help and support of the parents we would not be able to continue with this wonderful tradition.

⏰ Open from 1 pm to 10:30 pm (no new paying admissions onto the festival grounds from 8:30pm)

💵 £5 each On the day

FREE Entry to children aged 12 and under, when accompanied by a full paying adult!!! (Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by a full paying adult, otherwise they will not be permitted entry into the festival)

Update:

We’ve listened to your feedback and we have been working hard with Mondelez International who very kindly allow Bournville Village Council the use of the recreation ground for the festival, Birmingham City Council Events Department and Bournville Neighbourhood Policing Team to ensure the success of this year's event.

This year we are implementing the following changes:

• A brand-new Event Security Company

• An inner perimeter fence around the ground to prevent unauthorised access

• Over 30 event security staff around the ground

• Additional Bournville Village Council Stewards to help direct visitors

• Security staff at all entry gates

• CCTV on gates and around the ground

• No entry to groups of youths will be permitted

• Random bag searches will be carried out

To help make Bournville Village Festival a Family Fun Day, we are also encouraging participation from more of our local schools and groups for your entertainment, so if you are part of a group who may be interested in taking part, please let us know.

The festival is a not-for-profit event, so the money raised is put towards the running of the next year’s festival.
