An introductory talk on the fascinating world of fungi, mycelium networks and the ‘wood wide web’ with community gardener, researcher, educator and author of award-winning MSc research project ‘Mapping Alternative Futures through Fungi’, Maymana Arefin.
Maymana will summarise her research about mycorrhizal fungi and what we can learn from their networks as humans. Join Maymana to explore themes of social justice, mutual aid and community organising through the lens of nature connection and fungi.
All levels of knowledge or none are very welcome!
Chai and Chat is an empowering women-led initiative, crafted to cultivate an atmosphere of informal yet inspiring discussions across a diverse spectrum of topics. This uniquely designed platform serves as more than just a gathering—Sampad endeavor to create a safer space in which open dialogue can take place and ideas explored through conversations with female artists and cultural practitioners.
