Botanical sketching workshop at Launceston Library

Launceston Library, supported by Friends of the Library Launceston, invites you to join a cosy Winter Arts Workshop at the Library. This series of free workshops brings professional artists to the Library to share their skills in a range of different mediums. Suitable for adults aged 16+, with any level of experience.

Dive into the intricate world of botanical sketching in coloured pencils. We will go over the foundations of observational sketching followed by technical drawing with colour layering and blending. Learn how to draw leaves and flowers in all their delicate, beautiful details and vibrant colours. This will be an all inclusive activity that can be adapted for all levels of artistic adventurers!

While you’re at the Library, why not join the Warm Winter Read! Pull up a chair, grab a hot drink and get reading. Warm Winter Read is a feel-good winter challenge for Tasmanians aged 16 and over.
