Boiling Water Bath Canning Class on Tomatoes!

Join us at Silverwood Mennonite Church on Saturday, August 15th from 9:30 am to 4 pm to learn valuable resources, an in-depth talk, hands-on labs, and interactive discussion. Participants will attend the full day workshop, enjoy a complimentary lunch (tamales and rice), and receive a take home product. This class is taught by Purdue Extension. Advanced registration is required!

Each class participant will receive a workbook, and a $5 voucher to redeem at the Goshen Farmers Market for fruits or vegetables to get your canning started! If you require special accommodations or an interpreter, please contact Karen Rickey by July 31st at 574-935-8545 or [email protected].
An optional pressure canner dial gauge testing is available following the workshop for $5 (cash) per item to test. Be sure to bring the gauge and the lid if you'd like to do this.

Participation in the class requires completion of a liability and photo release form which you'll receive upon check in.
