Bluegrass Summer Series: Sister Sadie at The TileWorks

Pull up a beach chair or a picnic blanket and enjoy some incredible bluegrass music in the TileWorks courtyard on a Sunday afternoon. There will be food trucks and craft beer, cider, and water available for purchase. All shows are rain or shine.

Sister Sadie Sister Sadie are on the road and on the rise! To say that they are ‘an all-female bluegrass band’ doesn’t do it justice. They are all monster players and incredible song writers! The different members of Sister Sadie have been nominated and awarded IBMA fiddle player of the year, mandolin player of the year, banjo player of the year and female vocalist of the year, all in recent years! They’ve also been nominated for a Grammy. They have been playing all over the country, thrilling audiences with their original sound for more than a decade after an impromptu jam at the Station Inn made them realize they should all be in a band together. It’s bluegrass, it’s country, it can rock and it can roll! Sister Sadie will close out our 2026 season with a bluegrass bang! www.sistersadieband.com Wood Flower Wood Flower are good friends of TileWorks. They were a new band when we started and have played here almost every year since. They also play music at ‘Tilefest’ in May if you’d like to see them twice a year at our historic tile factory! These guys love bluegrass. It seems like they are constantly playing and practicing and enjoying bluegrass. You can see them all over the area but it’s the most fun when they play TileWorks. Recently they have included ‘Q’ from Serene Green as a permanent member, singing and playing mandolin, which is a perfect addition. www.woodflowerbluegrass.com Blue Octane Blue Octane are a band, mostly out of Maryland, that plays and sings traditional bluegrass. They have years of experience on stage and offer heartfelt harmonies and precision picking. We camp near each other at the Delaware Valley Bluegrass Festival in New Jersey every year, so I’ve been listening to them pick together, as I try to fall asleep, and as I wake up in the morning, for years!
