Blockchain Future - Symposium 2026

Join us at Ulster University, Belfast for the Blockchain - Future Symposium 2026, a one-day in-person event exploring the future of blockchain technologies across finance, regulation, governance, digital infrastructure, RegTech, LegalTech and decentralised systems.

This interdisciplinary event will bring together academics, industry practitioners, policymakers, technology leaders, legal and regulatory experts, students and early-career researchers to discuss how blockchain is moving from concept to real-world adoption. The programme will examine blockchain not only as a technical innovation, but also as a social, financial, legal and regulatory force shaping the future of payments, cryptoassets, smart contracts, tokenisation, compliance and decentralised governance.

Throughout the day, participants will hear from leading experts through keynote talks, panel discussions and audience Q&A sessions. Topics will include the role of blockchain in mainstream finance, the future of tokenisation and payments, barriers to deployment, blockchain governance, regulatory challenges, DAOs, RegTech and LegalTech innovation.
