Black On Your Shelf - September Book Club
About this Event
Our new bi-monthly book club celebrates Black authors, stories, and perspectives while creating space for everyone to read, connect, and engage in open conversation. This club will be hosted by I’Sha Schultz-Spradlin. She's a Detroit-based entrepreneur, Licensed Massage Therapist, community advocate, and passionate believer in the power of open dialogue and access to resources. Come for the books, stay for the conversation—and let’s put more Black stories on your shelf.
I'sha's pick this month is H. M. Wolfe’s Daggermouth. In this novel a deadly surveillance state sets the stage for an enemies-to-lovers romance where falling in love might be the most dangerous act of rebellion.
Pick up a copy in store, head to Libro.fm if you prefer an audiobook experience, or visit our friends at the Ferndale Area District Library to check out a copy for the month.
Your $10 ticket fee holds a seat for you, and can be applied toward an in-store purchase (valid on book club day only).
