September Cookbook Club

Each month we pick a cookbook, and you pick a recipe from that book that you want to try your hand at. On book club day, each attendee will bring a dish to pass, dinner party style. There are few things better in life than gathering in community over good food and even better conversation, and we can't wait to host you!

Our pick for September Cookbook Club is Hello, Home Cooking by Ham El-Waylly — chef, NYT Cooking video star, and one half of the beloved Mystery Menu duo alongside his wife and longtime collaborator Sohla El-Waylly, another titan of the culinary world. Rooted in Ham's wildly international upbringing (Bolivian-Egyptian parents, childhood in Qatar), this book is a celebration of comfort food from all over the world, made entirely from ingredients you can find at your regular grocery store. No specialty shops, no second mortgage required. Whether you're a confident cook or still figuring it out, these recipes will have you making something new that somehow already feels like home. Come ready to share what you made and swap notes!

Once registration fills up, we'll send out a follow-up email with a form for each attendee to fill out so we can ensure a wide range of recipes are brought to the literal and figurative table on the day of the event.

Tickets are $20, and you'll receive a $10 credit to use in store (valid on book club day only). Your ticket price includes free table wine, sparkling water, and the cozy dinner party atmosphere of your dreams.
