About this Event

Come celebrate with Mike Maimone, on tour for the release of his 15th album and 1st book, both called, "Guess What? I Love You."

Maimone's piano-based bluesy pop/rock music is often compared to Randy Newman, Leon Russell, Tom Waits, and Dr. John.

Los Angeles Magazine called his new memoir "an honest, moving account of love, loss and the radical act of staying open to possibility."

This show features Mike performing songs from his new album on solo piano, along with a few old favorites and covers. Guiding the audience on an emotional journey, he will also read six short selections from his book. This unforgettable set of words and music will stir the soul of anyone who attends!

Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7:30 and runs about 75 minutes.

“Maimone brings a little queerness to traditionally straight blues-based genres.” - Jenn White, NPR

“The man has the keyboard style of Fats Waller and Jerry Lee Lewis combined, and a vocal style that clearly recalls Tom Waits and Warren Zevon.” - Windy City Times

“A memoir that speaks true to the overwhelming grief of a cherished time cut short, and to the joy of a richly remembered relationship.” — Kirkus Reviews Verdict: Get it.

“An honest, moving account of love, loss and the radical act of staying open to possibility.” — Los Angeles Magazine

“A magnificent mixtape of love and loss.” — BookLife Reviews, a division of Publisher’s Weekly
