An evening for the wonderfully unusual.

The Black Cat Swap is Southport's clothing swap for alt fashion, vintage, and the beautifully unconventional. Goths, punks, vintage lovers, subcultural dressers — a night to trade the pieces you've outgrown for the ones you've been hunting for.

How the swap works

• 5pm – 7pm: Arrive, check in your items, grab a drink, browse the rails as they fill up.
• 7pm – 9pm: Open swap floor — take home the number of pieces you brought in.
• Final 30 minutes: Take-what-you-like. Anything left finds a good home rather than landfill.

Items are vetted at check-in — bring alt, vintage, goth, punk, subcultural, or genuinely interesting pieces in good condition. Clean, wearable, no fast-fashion basics please.

What to bring

• Your alt/vintage pieces to swap — clean, wearable, unusual
• A tote or bag for your new finds
• A voluntary £2+ contribution if you can — supports The Hearth Network's running costs (every penny stays local)

What to expect

Music, proper changing rooms, hospitality, and a room full of people who actually appreciate a rare find. This is a swap and a community night rolled into one.

The Hearth Network is a Southport CIC keeping textiles out of landfill through community swaps and repair workshops. Every piece that finds a new wardrobe is one fewer piece thrown away — no lectures, just style.
