Curve Swap

A free curve & plus size clothes swap. Bring what no longer fits your life, take home something that does. All curves welcome.
About this Event
Overview
Curves welcome, always.
The Curve Swap is a body-positive community clothes swap for anyone who wears curve or plus sizes — a joyful evening of bringing clothes you no longer love, discovering something new to you, and celebrating that our wardrobes should fit our lives, not the other way around.
Wearing plus and curve sizes shouldn't mean fewer choices, higher prices, or hunting through the back of the rail. The Curve Swap brings the full experience of a proper clothes swap to sizes that mainstream fashion too often overlooks — with the same joy, quality and community as any of our events.
Format
🕔 5:00–6:00pm — Drop off your donations
🕕 6:00–9:00pm — Swap floor open
Bring what no longer fits your life, take home something that does. The Curve Swap runs on a simple token system — when you drop off items, you'll receive one token per item (up to 10 items) to spend on the swap floor. One token = one item, and everything is free.
What to bring
· Clean, wearable curve and plus size clothing (all seasons welcome)
· Shoes and accessories are also welcome
· Items in good condition — think "would I be happy to give this to a friend?"
· Bring up to 10 items to swap
What to expect
· A warm, well-lit market space at the heart of Southport
· Refreshments and food available from Southport Market's independent traders
· Volunteers on hand to help you find your size or your style
· A relaxed, sociable evening — bring a friend, stay a while
Accessibility
Southport Market is on the ground floor with step-free access. If you have specific accessibility needs — mobility, sensory, or otherwise — please email [email protected] ahead of the event and we'll make sure everything's in place for you.
What happens to leftovers
Nothing goes to waste. Any items not taken home on the night are passed to our partners at Lakeside Church Free Clothes Store, who support adults across Sefton with free clothing year-round.
Partners and funding
Delivered by The Hearth Network CIC in partnership with Southport Market and Enhance Events. Funded by the Merseyside Recycling & Waste Authority and Veolia through the Zero Waste Community Fund 2026–27.
