Birthing New Worlds – Song and Prayer Circle for FLINTA*
Join us in person for an afternoon of song, embodied prayer and reflection. As the autumn equinox invites us to pause, we gather to honour the wisdom of letting go, resting, and gathering our collective resources in preparation for winter.
Together, we will touch on questions of bringing new life to a burning planet, and the challenges of world-building we encounter as birthworkers, pregnant people, parents and caretakers. What does it take to keep going? What do we need in order to sustain ourselves and one another? And how can we centre our voices, bodies and needs as we imagine and create new worlds?
Facilitated by Ayah the Voice Doula and Full Circle Doula Leonie, the circle will weave together original chants, communal singing, embodied prayer, grounding practices and ritual. As parents, birthworkers, prayer leaders and meditators, we know the power of coming together in voice and presence. Communal song can be a way of connecting and replenishing ourselves; a practice of care, resistance and collective imagination.
Come with your voice, your presence, and whatever you are ready to release. You can sing along, hum, move, pray, rest, or simply sit quietly. There is no need to perform or to know how to sing. We will hold space for you.
A seasonal ritual for letting go, recharging, and birthing new worlds together.
