You are invited to walk, sit, listen, feel, write and talk with us along the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary’s Forest Bathing Trail.
About this Event

Come be with the life at the sanctuary and answer the calls of the birds in your own words, with your own song! 

For three consecutive Thursday evenings in September, we invite you to join community convener and poet Sarah Arthurs and poet Tonya Lailey to sink into the rich life in the Inglewood wildlands and sanctuary and to be surprised by what it stirs in you, then write about it. These three workshops will be guided, first and foremost, by the life at the sanctuary and by each of our own inner wilds. And there will be some writing exercises and prompts inspired by Andreas Weber’s and his commitment to the value of how it feels to be in ecology, and by Robert Macfarlane’s and Jackie Morris’ appeal, in The Book of Birds, that we notice birds and attempt to know them as fellow creatures so we may love them.We will gather indoors for a portion of each evening or for the full session if the weather insists. We look forward to sharing this time with you.

This offering is free to the public. No prior writing experience is required.
