Join Golden Eagle Audubon for a relaxed morning of exploration of the trails at Barber Park, where the Boise River winds through groves of cottonwoods, willows, and riparian wetlands. Barber Park is a county park on the east edge of Boise, and is home to over 120 bird species throughout the year. The river is prime habitat for waterfowl, kingfisher, and herons, while the surrounding trees along the banks may hold woodpeckers, warblers, kingfishers, chickadees, flycatchers, sparrows, and owls. This will be a leisurely outing with plenty of time to stop, listen, and watch. Expect level walking on paved or packed paths, with opportunities to enjoy both birds and the beautiful riverside scenery that makes Barber Park a local favorite.
