Big Winter Singalong!

This joint event between Whittington Park Community Centre and Healthy Generations is to help raise money for both local Islington charities to enable them to keep providing the essential services they run for the older residents in the borough.

Tonia Thorne will be performing for us, singing some golden oldies and tunes that you know all the words too! We're talking Stand By Me, Jolene, Three Little Birds, Jailhouse Rock and Proud Mary!

Come along and sing your heart out!

Snacks and drinks will be available to buy.

Whittington Park Community Centre

WPCA has been a local community centre since the 70's, providing services for Over 55's, Under 5's and a Youth Club for 13 - 19 year olds. The centre is well used for children's parties, dance lessons, yoga, zumba, funeral receptions and so much more. With the Cost of Living, it's getting harder and harder to raise the funds necessary to keep the programmes running and the doors open. Money raised from this event will go towards our Over 55's Social Club to make sure we can keep taking them out on trips to museums, providing freshly cooked lunches and many other activities.

Healthy Generations

We promote inclusion, reduce isolation and improve health and well-being. We work mainly with older people and mental health service users although our classes are open to everyone. We focus on bringing people together with exercise, music, arts and crafts and digital help. We work in care homes, the community and online.

All money raised will be split equally between the two charities.
