BFTLDN X Glide and Flow: Black Women do Rollerskate

Welcome to Black Women Do… Rollerskate — a joyful, no-pressure skating session designed for Black women to move, laugh and connect.

Whether you’ve never stepped into skates before, you’re a little wobbly, or you’re coming back after years, this is a supportive space where you can learn at your pace and enjoy the vibe. Expect good music, helpful guidance, and a room full of women cheering you on.

Come solo or bring a friend — either way, you won’t be skating alone!

• Beginner-friendly warm-up and safety briefing
• Skating fundamentals: balance, posture, stopping, turning
• Practice time with gentle guidance and confidence-building drills
• Time to mingle, take photos, and enjoy the vibes

Black women (18+)

• Beginners welcome
• All you need is a good attitude and willingness to try
• Not suitable if you have an injury affecting balance/mobility

You can bring your own skates, or if you don’t already own skates, it’s recommended to hire a pair rather than buying new ones just for this session.

Please bring (or wear):

• Comfortable activewear
• Long socks (recommended)
• Water bottle

Glide and Flow is a premium roller skating school for adults who want to rediscover joy, movement, and confidence on eight wheels.

With a particular focus on supporting women aged 35+ (including those navigating perimenopause, menopause, and other life transitions), Glide and Flow welcomes everyone who connects with its mission. The school champions skating as a low-impact, joint-friendly way to build cardiovascular fitness, support bone density and muscle strength, and stay active without the strain of high-impact exercise.

Each session is carefully structured with clear lesson plans, creating an organised, supportive environment where people can relax, learn, and genuinely enjoy the experience. Glide and Flow is about more than skating skills; it’s a mood-boosting, confidence-building community where beginners can wobble, laugh, and surprise themselves as they start to glide.
