Illustrators Emiliano Ponzi and Olimpia Zagnoli discuss other forms of illustration with Nicholas Blechman
About this Event

What happens when illustration is more than a drawing?

Join us for a conversation on the evolving role of illustration as a language that shapes culture, ideas, and public discourse. The panel brings together three influential voices in contemporary visual communication: Nicholas Blechman, Creative Director of The New Yorker, alongside acclaimed illustrators Emiliano Ponzi and Olimpia Zagnoli.

Hosted at Salotto and Casa IED, this event is part of Zig Zag Festival, a cultural exchange connecting Italy and the United States through visual storytelling. Organized by the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, curated by Hamelin and Steven Guarnaccia, and presented in collaboration with the Bologna Children's Book Fair.

An evening of dialogue, insight, and creative exchange exploring how illustration continues to expand across disciplines, media, and audiences.
