from ancient wisdom texts through Yoga, Art, Breathwork & Reflection
About this Event
The Bhagavad Gita is one of the most influential and enduring texts of yoga philosophy,
dating back over 2,000 years. Long before yoga became associated primarily with physical
postures, the Gita explored the inner science of action, awareness, and purpose. It offers a
framework not just for practice-but for living.
We do this through:
- Gentle Yoga and embodiment
- Breath practices for clarity and grounding
- Art therapy to process insight
- Bite-sized Gita wisdom explained in modern language
- Guided reflection for personal application
- Journalling and Tea circles
No prior knowledge of the Gita is required.
This is not a lecture or traditional study circle - it is a lived experience of timeless wisdom
made accessible for modern life.
This offering is designed for:
- Spiritually curious individuals
- Yoga practitioners seeking philosophical depth
- Those exploring meaning and purpose
- People feeling stuck in overthinking or indecision
- Community members wanting interactive spiritual exploration
- For those both familiar with and brand new to Bhakti Yoga (Indian and non-Indian
- Backgrounds)
The tone is inclusive, accessible, and welcoming to all backgrounds.
Asana trains the body.
Pranayama refines the breath.
But the Gita trains the mind, intention, and inner orientation.
the Gita expands on essential yogic principles often mentioned in the Yoga Sutras of
Patanjali:
• Acting without attachment to results (karma yoga)
• Steadying the mind in uncertainty
• Sustaining effort without burnout
• Aligning action with dharma - purposeful living
While many yoga classes strengthen the body, Living the Gita explores how yogic wisdom
shapes decision-making, resilience, and clarity in everyday life. This 75-minute multi-
sensory experience weaves movement, creativity, reflection, and dialogue to bring these
teachings off the page and into embodied practice.
This is yoga off the mat - not just how we move, but how we choose, respond, and live.
