About this Event
2.0 FREE Social Work CEs.
For 10 years, Black Mamas Matter Alliance (BMMA Inc.) has led the Global Black Maternal Health Movement, strengthening Black-led maternal health organizations and advancing change to address inequities. The 2026 Black Maternal Health Week (#BMHW26) theme, “Rooted in Justice & Joy,” celebrates this milestone while honoring the movement’s impact and calling for a future grounded in restoration, justice, and joy.
In observance of BMHW26, Molloy University’s Social Work Department and TRS Consulting Group, LLC, will present Beyond the Exam Room: A Holistic Person-centered Approach to Maternal Healthcare. Panelists include the Social Work Team from NYC Health & Hospitals Women’s Health Maternal Home. The team will share strategies used to ensure a holistic, collaborative, cross-disciplinary approach to serving perinatal patients with heightened vulnerability.
