Boozhoo, gagina awiya, greetings everyone!
We warmly invite you to join us for a special gathering focused on Berry Teachings with Elder Laura Horton.
Together, we will learn about our sacred roles as Anishinaabe Kwe, reflecting on and embracing our responsibilities, strengths, and teachings through song, knowledge sharing, and cultural teachings. This gathering offers an opportunity
to connect with culture, community, and one another in a supportive and welcoming space.
Whether you are beginning your cultural journey or have been carrying these teachings throughout your life, all are welcome. We especially encourage our youth to join us as we explore berry teachings related to coming into womanhood and
learn about the significance and commitment of the berry fast.
Date: June 25 & 26, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Ray Blvd Office – Workshop Room
If you would like to register, please email [email protected] with the participant's name and contact information.
We look forward to gathering, learning, and sharing together.
