Unleash your creativity in this hands‑on Bento Cake Decorating workshop! In just 2 hours, you’ll learn to assemble and decorate your own stunning mini bento cake—a trendy, personal‑sized treat perfect for any celebration.

Guided by our expert instructor, you’ll start by layering and crumb‑coating your cake, then work with smooth American buttercream to prepare the perfect decorating base. You’ll explore a variety of piping techniques, use multiple piping tips, and experiment with beautiful designs—from elegant florals to playful patterns.

Add your own flair with fondant accents, edible embellishments, and creative color combinations. You’ll leave with a beautiful, personalized bento cake to share (or keep all to yourself!) along with the skills to create impressive mini cakes at home.

NY Cake Academy classes are held in our Manhattan flagship at 118 W 22nd St. All supplies and materials are included. If you require special accommodations, please contact . Classes are hands‑on, interactive experiences.

Please dress accordingly. We recommend casual clothing you don’t mind getting a little sugar on, and flat comfortable shoes. Open‑toed shoes and sandals are not recommended for safety reasons. Long hair should be tied back.

Plan to arrive 10 minutes before class start time. Class will start promptly at the listed time.
Important: Participants who arrive more than 15 minutes late will not be allowed to join the class and will forfeit their tuition. No refunds or rescheduling will be permitted.

NY Cake Academy classes are not eligible for refunds, however classes are transferrable.

All bookings receive a confirmation immediately after purchase. Please notify if you do not receive a confirmation email. Students are responsible for ensuring they receive and read their confirmation email.

If you would like to change a class date, email at least 48 hours in advance. Include the full name of the registered student, class confirmation number, and the class you wish to transfer into. If we do not receive notice and you do not attend, your payment is forfeited. We allow one courtesy makeup for a missed class; if you miss your makeup class, your tuition is forfeited.

If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, inclement weather, or other circumstances beyond our control (power outage, facility issues, etc.), we will notify you as soon as possible and issue a refund to your original form of payment.

If we decide to run the class and you choose not to attend, no refund will be issued, but you will receive a credit valid for 1 year toward a future class.
