The LINCS Board of Directors announced that the installation is scheduled to occur in April. Cost of the project is just over $20,000. LINCS has funded the deposit for the project.
MIIPL’s Capital Area Chapter is supporting the solar project by inviting its members and others in the community to make a donation toward the project.
LINCS, a 501C3 nonprofit, provides homes and support for residents who are on the autism spectrum. Two residents moved into the home in November when LINCS assumed ownership
of the duplex from Habitat for Humanity. Bringing solar will help ensure future power bills remain as low as possible for LINCS and their residents. Absolute Solar projects LINCS will save nearly $1,000 annually on electricity costs when solar power is added. Fundraising efforts officially start this month and will culminate with a classical music concert benefit in the Snider Social Hall at Peoples Church on Sunday, Feb. 15th at 2pm. when MIIPL members along with other guests from the community gather for a fundraiser.
