Elder Carlie Towne of the Gullah/Geechee Angel Network curates, Beneath da Crown: Rice, Cotton & Indigo, a stunning Multi-Media Art Installation that reflects the impact Gullah Culture has had on the South Carolina Low Country, and mainstream American Culture in general. From Food Ways to Artistic Expressions, for decades, Elder Carlie has worked tirelessly to promote Gullah/Geechee Traditions and support local Artists who are preserving the culture. Beneath da Crown: Rice, Cotton & Indigo does just that.

This Multi-Media Art Installation features the works of Elder Carlie herself, alongside local Artists, including Visual Artist and Sweetgrass Basket Maker, Anastatia Ketchen, Visual Artist, Kiante Palmer, Visual Artist and Poet, Georgia Nubia, Fabric Weaver and Recording Artist, Sufia Giza, Chef and Interdisciplinary Artist, WiBi Ashley and Musicians, Larry Ford, Branda Latoya and Thomas Martin.
