About this Event
Join Detroit Bird Alliance for a field trip around Belle Isle in partnership with the Belle Isle Nature Center! On this field trip, we'll be looking for the fantastic waterbirds that call the Detroit River home during the winter. The stretch of the Detroit River that surrounds Belle Isle is home to one of the largest wintering Canvasback duck populations in North America! Other species that we might encounter include Buffleheads, Hooded Mergansers, and Redheads.
Trip Details:
Park at the Belle Isle Nature Center and then head inside for a chat before we head out. Dress appropriately for the weather!
