The Ulster Folk Museum and nearby Cultra Manor are home to an incredible range of natural wonders - from ancient woodlands to flourishing farmlands. For the first time, we’re inviting visitors to go behind the scenes and learn about the exciting conservation work taking place across the site.Join Niamh Carmichael for a guided walk exploring projects such as large-scale invasive species removal, part of a woodland restoration initiative in partnership with the Woodland Trust and in support of the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan.
Along the way, gain exclusive access to hidden gems normally closed to the public - including an ancient souterrain and a 700-million-year-old rock formation. Connect with nature and see first-hand the vital work that helps protect our museum grounds for future generations.
This event is part of the NI Science Festival.
