From the Beacon of Truth Series at Illuminate the Truth — a Christian bookstore in downtown Fargo. Join us for a powerful and hope-filled Biblical teaching and gathering to Shed Your Shame!
Beacon of Truth is a monthly teaching and discussion gathering designed to equip believers to understand the times we are living in and respond with Biblical wisdom. Each month, guest speakers will address current issues through a Biblical lens, not just to inform, but to cultivate God-given wisdom—helping believers live faithfully and stand firm in the unchanging sufficiency of Scripture.
This month’s event is Shed Your Shame. Join us and our guest speaker Brittany Poppe a pro-life speaker & abortion recovery coach for a welcoming and Christ-centered teaching for anyone who has ever felt unworthy, disqualified, or stuck beneath past sin, regret, or pain.
This session will explore what shame is and why it matters, helping participants distinguish between guilt (“I did something bad”) and shame (“I am bad”).
Through Biblical teaching, we’ll examine how shame causes us to hide from God, isolate from others, and remain trapped in cycles of sin or self-punishment.
Together, we’ll acknowledge that shame can come from many sources—choices we regret, things done to us, abortion, broken relationships, addiction, abuse, or sexual sin—while affirming this core truth: Sin is not the end of the story; freedom is!
Participants will be guided through Scripture to discover God’s true heart and how He wants us to be healed from our wounds.
Whether you are carrying hidden shame or simply longing for deeper freedom, Shed Your Shame offers a safe space to encounter truth, grace, and restoration through Jesus Christ.
