BASICS: CNC Embroidery

This class runs about 1 hour and covers basic safety and operations of tool and/or equipment instruction. This will provide all the information needed to be certified on using the Brother Embroidery Machine at the Lacey MakerSpace. For more in-depth project based hands-on instruction, we offer workshops and one-on-one mentoring.

Basic classes are always free for MakerSpace members. Individuals are welcome to sign up for multiple Basics classes until they feel confident on the equipment.

What you will learn:

• How to thread the machine
• How to hoop fabric and adjust the machine for different sizes
• Stabilizing fabrics
• How to embroider a design with the touch screen interface

To learn more about turning your images into stitchable files with Floriani or Ink/Stitch software look for courses on the embroidery software in a separate BASICS class.

There is a $10 no-show fee for LMS members who don't show up for the classes they sign up for. These fees will be charged to the card we have on file. This fee is being instituted because we have had a pattern of members not showing up to our classes. Our classes have a limited amount of slots and we want to serve as many attendees as possible.
