The Sunnywood Project is passionate about the benefits the great outdoors have on our physical and mental wellbeing.Brush up on your navigation skills and build confidence in venturing further with our fun and practical session on Holcombe Moor.
This event is for those with little or no navigation experience and is just as much about experiencing and promoting a love for the great outdoors as it is learning a new skill.
Perfect for those preparing for events that require some navigation skill or those that just want to venture that little bit further.
What you will learn:
• how to orientate your map
• how to identify land features on an OS map
• how to navigate to a location using a compass
• how to navigate to a location using land features
• how to estimate distance and pace
