Even though our days are shorter we are still going out to adventure on the hills in the Winter evenings. This is the fifth of our Full Moon (monthly) Torch Walk series for Winter 2024/25.
We will take a 3 mile / 5 km loop from Holcombe, Bury up onto Holcombe Moor, visiting this well known landmark and memorial to Sir Robert Peel. We will then head around Harcles Hill before descending through Holcombe to complete our evening walk. Paths will be varied including some cobbled paths, steep gravel sections, moorland grass (potentially boggy) and wider tracks.
This route is family-friendly and suitable for ages 7+.
Well behaved, friendly dogs welcome, however, please use non-retractable leads or keep them short to reduce risk of the leads getting tangled round other participants legs.
Tickets cost £7 per adult / £5 per child. These small-group guided walks are professionally led by a qualified Mountain Leader and Outdoor First Aider / Mental Health First Aider, with full PL insurance.
