* Students must bring their own size H-8 (5.0mm), I-9 (5.5mm) or J-10 (6mm) crochet hook
** This workshop is best for skilled Beginner-level crochet students who have mastered chain stitch, slip stitch, & counting chain stitches, & are comfortable joining colors & reading crochet patterns *
Try your hand at a new look for your graduation lei giving this year by learning to make the Basic Crochet Lei. Well-known & -loved from the lei book, Fancy Hawaiian Lei in Crochet by Roberta E. Wong, this simple "ruffled" style yarn lei looks wonderful when imitating flower colors, or when done in school colors.
Malia will also help you to finish your lei & suggest decorative closures. You will leave with 1 skein of "stem" color yarn & 2 skeins of "flower" color yarn, as well as 10 stitch markers.
Students take home their
- 1 skein "stem" color Red Heart Super Saver Yarn
- 1skein Red Heart Super Saver (any color)
- 1 skein Lion Basic Stitch yarn in a complimentary color OR 1skein Red Heart Super Saver [3 SKEINS TOTAL]
- 10 stitch markers
