Bark ID

🌳🌲🌴 Hit the trails with Crossroads staff and discover the secrets hidden in tree bark! Learn how to identify different tree species by observing the unique colors, textures, patterns, and shapes of their bark. Bark can be an especially helpful clue for identifying trees during the winter months, when many trees are without their leaves. As we explore the trails, we’ll practice our tree ID skills and take a closer look at the fascinating features that make each tree unique. Come ready to observe, explore, and see the forest in a whole new way!
Please dress for the weather. Free and open to the public!
