Ayacaxtli - Bison Crystal Rattle Making
About this Event
The rattle or Ayacaxtli is one of the sacred trilogy of indigenous instrumentation(with the drum and the flute).
All participants will be crafting (2) Bison rawhide rattles filled with healing gems and natural beach stones of your choice.
In our opening ceremony we will set the intention of our day, and discuss the sacred and the special place the rattles hold within it.
Using all sustainably sourced rawhide, materials and beautiful natural gemstones get ready to get hands on as you stitch and weave your personal touch into 2 rattles in this unique workshop.
In the afternoon we will take a snack break and ask students to please bring something to share if possible.
