Welcome To Chakradance Awakening the Base Chakra. Today in this class we will be exploring the base chakra (Muladhara) with 'The Dance of Mother Earth.'
The base chakra is located at the base of the spine and is associated with our overall physical health. Symbolically, it represented by the element of earth. Our Base chakra connects us with our instincts. This chakra is the foundation of our entire chakra system and contains patterns passed down from our families - both our bloodline and our soul-line, making this a powerful chakra to connect to our heritage.
It is from this chakra that we connect with our instincts. In the dance of mother earth, we begin as a seed, and begin to sense how we feel in the base chakra. We then explore this chakra further through dancing the element of mother earth. You may meet your power animal or a guide with a message.
In the final part of our dance we connect to our instincts, (that primal, instinctual, primitive, raw, wild, animal part of ourselves) by invoking our inner primitive woman and allowing her to emerge in our dance.
This dance can help us feel more alive and vibrant....more in tune with our bodies and our environment. It helps us to find inner stability and a sense of security in our lives. By strengthening our base, our other chakras can begin to flow with health, vibrance and energy too.
We will explore this chakra with a free- form dance, music pulsing to the energy of the chakra, guided imagery and mandala art.
