Awaken & Grow: Hands- On Microgreen & Sprouting Workshop

Spring is a time of new beginnings, growth, and expanding opportunities. Growing food at home is a wonderful way for us to build community and feel empowered. Healthy living starts with what's on our plate. This workshop will not only give you practical tools to grow your own healthy food, it will inspire you to become your greatest version.

In this interactive session, you’ll learn about the incredible nutritional power of sprouts and microgreens and why they’re considered some of the most concentrated superfoods on the planet. We’ll guide you step-by-step through simple, repeatable methods for sprouting on your countertop using mason jars and mesh lids, as well as growing microgreens in soil using easy, simple methods.

You’ll get your hands dirty during a live microgreen planting session, have all of your questions answered, sample a variety of microgreens, and gain confidence to continue growing long after the workshop ends.

You will go home with a sprouting kit, a 10×10 microgreen grow kit with extra seeds and grow medium, a fresh pack of microgreens, helpful printed guides, and free access to our private, online wellness community for continued support.

Whether you’re brand new to growing food or looking to deepen your connection to what you eat, this workshop is designed to help you awaken awareness, and grow real food with confidence.

About Your Hosts

Kat and Joe are the Co-owners of Plant Prana Wellness | Microgreens. They own and operate their vertical farm in Central Florida and have been growing microgreens since 2022 but consuming them much longer than that. You can find them each weekend at four Central Florida area farmers' markets. They teach grow workshops and host community events to empower people towards optimal health. Some of their previous workshops include the Master Gardener Club of Brevard and Osceola Counties, Winter Park Women's Club, UCF Life, Advent Health's Heal Program, Florida Blue, and The City of Orlando Wellness Summit.

Joe is certified in plant-based nutrition and a former professor at UCF with over 20 years of teaching experience. Kat is a holistic, plant-based nutritionist, registered nurse, and board certified health coach.
