We'll be running this Learn-to-Play day using the TWO-HEADED GIANT FORMAT (this just means you'll pair up with your friend and play against other paired-up players that day).
Two-Headed Giant is a great way to learn Magic--or to teach Magic to a friend!
THE DECKS
We'll provide the new Marvel Super Heroes Welcome Decks (while supplies last) for everyone that participates! Also, our resident Magic guru, Shawn, will be there to help everyone with the rules of Magic!
Each Welcome Deck contains two 30-card half-decks. Each 30-card half-deck is themed around a Marvel Character—Black Panther, Iron Man, Black Widow, Spider-Man, or the Hulk—and a color of Magic. Your Welcome Deck will contain the 30-card half-deck featuring the character on the package and another 30-card half-deck of a different color.
You and your teammate will each play with one of your 30-card half-decks. After the event, you can combine your two half-decks together to assemble a 60-card two-color deck.
This is a super-casual event. There are no rounds, standings, or ranked prizes. Instead, you can focus on what really matters: learning playing Magic!
Participation requires each player to have a Wizards ID and the Companion app in order to get a free* Spider-Man Welcome deck to participate in this event. We can help you sign-up and register an account if you don't already have one.
*Free Welcome Decks are limited to one per person playing Magic on this day.
