DISCOVER PUBLIC DAY AT THE AFTA TACKLE SHOW

Step inside one of Australia’s premier fishing events as Public Day at the AFTA Tackle Show welcomes recreational fishers from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Presented by Let’s Fish Australia, this is your chance to discover the latest products, connect with industry experts, and meet some of the country’s best-known fishing personalities. Please note this is not a retail event and no fishing tackle will be available for sale.

New for 2026: Public Day will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre for the first time, giving visitors a fresh, central Brisbane venue to experience the AFTA Tackle Show.

Proudly supported by the Queensland Government. Entry to Public Day is free, but all attendees must register in advance and bring either a digital or printed ticket for scanning at the door.

All children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Proof of age may be requested if a young person appears to be unaccompanied.

By registering for and attending the show, attendees, exhibitors, and brand ambassadors agree that AFTA may use photographs, video footage, and interviews in promotional materials for future events.

AFTA is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and family-friendly environment for all attendees at the AFTA Tackle Show Public Day, free from harassment or inappropriate behaviour. By registering to attend, attendees agree to comply with the event Conditions of Entry and Code of Conduct, which is available on the AFTA website, and acknowledge that any attendee found stealing from the show floor will have their ticket cancelled immediately, be required to leave the event, and may be subject to further action at AFTA’s discretion.
