August 1, 2026, Back to School PBC! West Palm Beach 3rd Shift

This is a county-sponsored event. There are no fees for volunteering, and any references to sales or purchases on this site and should be disregarded. We appreciate your participation and look forward to your support!

Thank you for your interest in the 2026 Back to School PBC! event. This year’s event is expected to serve over 12,000 students countywide, with approximately 6,000 attending at the Convention Center alone. Students will be staggered throughout the day, with roughly 250 students served every 15 minutes.

This is the volunteer sign-up for the 3rd shift on August 1, 2026, at the Central County Event, which will be held at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.

We have multiple volunteer opportunities on both the set-up and event days, but slots fill up quickly, so please take a look at the spots available and sign up today! You may be asked to assist with additional tasks as needed throughout the event. Please be prepared to remain flexible and help where most needed. Thank you for participating and sharing your heart to help our most vulnerable families.

PLEASE NOTE: Each individual volunteer should only register for one task during the morning or afternoon shift and sign up only for themselves. We welcome anyone 16 and older to volunteer for Traffic Management! Community service hours will be available to all who volunteer! Snacks, refreshments, breakfast, and lunch will be provided! All volunteer roles outside of Traffic Management require you to be 18 or older to volunteer. Please scroll down to view all of the available tasks when registering.

I am participating as a volunteer in Back to School PBC! at my own risk, and in consideration for myself participating in Back to School PBC!, presented by Palm Beach County, through its Office of Community Revitalization, the Spirit of Giving Network, the Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the Edna Runner Tutorial Center, the Village Academy, and Palm Beach State College (hereinafter the “Collaborative”), I agree to be solely responsible for any injury, loss or damage that I sustain as a result of my voluntary participation in the event, even though such injury, loss or damage may be caused by the negligence of others. I also agree to protect, defend, reimburse, indemnify and hold Palm Beach County and the Collaborative, its agents, designees, employees, and elected officials harmless at all times from and against all claims, liability, expenses, losses, costs, fines, damages or causes of action of every kind and character, including attorney's fees and costs, whether at trial or appellate levels or otherwise, arising during, as a result of, or in connection with my participation in Back to School PBC!. By attending this event you also hereby give consent to Palm Beach County for the purpose of being interviewed and/or photographed for print publications, website, radio or television broadcasts. You hereby release, discharge and agree to hold harmless Palm Beach County for any liability by virtue of my consent to appear in these photographs, videotapes or interviews. I certify that I have read and fully understand this release, and I am of lawful age and legally competent to enter into this agreement.
