Adventure Awaits -Help Protect Hungryland from a New Invasive Plant
About this Event
REGISTRATION OPENS 8/5 @ 10AM
Wrights nutrush is a quick spreading invasive plant from Africa. Its sharp, it's tall, and it creates hundreds of seeds. Join us in collecting seeds to prevent these seeds from becoming more plants in 2027.
We will provide water, snacks, gloves and tools.
We recommend wearing long pants and closed-toed shoes. You will probably want to bring a change of clothes. We will have a water cooler but please bring a reusable water-bottle along with bug spray and sunscreen.
Parking is available off Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, 3 miles north of Northlake Boulevard, close to Corbett Wildlife Management Area. Address is 12385 Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, West Palm Beach, 33418 (Google Map). Seminole Pratt Road becomes a drivable dirt road just past the entrance to JW Corbett Wildlife Management Area.
Please note that several navigation apps may direct you to drive on a canal road off Beeline Highway. That is not drivable. The only road to the parking lot is Seminole Pratt Whitney Road.
Please no pets or unsupervised minors.
