Join the Palm Beach County Beekeepers Association as we welcome Hilary Kearney, author of QueenSpotting and creator of Girl Next Door Honey, for our October Fun Meeting.
Hilary will present QueenSpotting: How to Find the Queen Bee, a practical and engaging program designed to help beekeepers develop one of the most valuable skills in the apiary: locating the queen. Many new beekeepers struggle to find the queen in their hives, and Hilary will explain why this skill matters while sharing helpful tips for spotting even the most elusive queens.
Hilary rescues wild bee colonies, teaches new beekeepers, and manages around 40 small urban apiaries in San Diego, California. She is also the author of QueenSpotting and Heart of the Hive, and her work has been featured in Modern Farmer, Grit, Mother Earth News, Vogue, and other outlets.
