MANG Nursery Schedule

Join us for a hands-on day of restoration and community at MANG Foundation’s Nursery! This event brings together volunteers, families, and conservation partners to grow and care for mangroves that will help restore our coastal ecosystems.

Participants will get an inside look at our mangrove nursery operations, learn about native species, and take part in activities like potting, propagule planting, and nursery maintenance.
It’s a great opportunity to connect with nature, give back to the environment, and be part of the MANG mission to restore and protect our coastlines.

Whether you’re a returning volunteer or joining us for the first time, come ready to get your hands dirty and make an impact—one mangrove at a time.

Please be sure to wear close toed shoes, bring sun protection (UPF shirt reccomended, hat and sunscreen), bug spray and your reusable water bottles! A light lunch and snacks will be provided.

9:00 AM – Mangrove lecture & Q&A (30 minutes)
Following the lecture – Nursery work (approximately 2–2½ hours), including planting mangroves, transferring plants, building troughs, and more

After cleanup, refreshments will be provided. If you have dietary restrictions, feel free to bring a packed lunch.

All volunteers must sign our Authorization and Release Form prior to participating. Volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign on their behalf.

Closed-toed shoes are required (hazards are present on the property and nursery).
Please dress for outdoor work and bring:
• Sun protection
• Hat
• Extra t-shirt
• Towel
• Refillable water bottle

Our goal is to keep everyone safe, comfortable, and ready to get their hands in the mangroves.

Head north on I-95 or the Florida Turnpike. Take the Southern Blvd exit — if coming from I-95, head west; if from the Turnpike, head east — to Kirk Road and turn south. Take the first right onto Gun Club Road. Then take the first left onto Pine Way Trail (listed as Pineway Terrace on some maps).

MANG is the second property on the left (east side), #312 on the mailbox.

Parking is limited in the driveway, so please park along the tree-lined east side of the street (swale) and walk onto the property.
