The Theatre Guild of Webster Groves announces auditions for A Thousand Clowns by Herb GardnerDirected by Warren Frank and Assistant Directed by Claire Hough
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Please bring a resume & headshot or recent photo. No appointment necessary, BUT auditions will begin PROMPTLY at the start time listed.
* AUDITION DATE: January 14th, at 7:00 PM
* LOCATION: 517 Theatre Ln, Saint Louis, MO 63119
* PERFORMANCE DATES: March 7th, 8th, 9th, 14th, 15th, and 16th
- Shows are at 7:30pm, Sunday matinees* are at 2:00pm.
* REHEARSAL DATES & TIMES will be determined based on availability of the cast. Please expect rehearsals to possibly begin the week of November 17th.
* All actors must be completely available during tech rehearsals

SYNOPSIS:
This benchmark of Broadway comedy produced one of the theatre's most beloved roles: unconventional Murray, uncle to precocious nephew, Nick. Tired of writing cheap comedy gags for "Chipper the Chipmunk," a children's television star, Murray finds himself unemployed with plenty of free time with which to pursue his...pursuits. Lectured by his conventional brother Arnold and hounded by "the system", Murray is paid a visit by bickering, uptight social workers, Sandra and Albert, and finds himself solving their problems as well as most of his own.
