The British, eager to capitalize from that fascination, moved swiftly to establish both dialogues and trade routes with the Far East. On paths charted by the British East India Company, countless goods, ideas, and individuals found themselves swept into an ever-expanding world.

Daniel J. Sieh is a public historian with more than fourteen years of experience working with historical sites along the East Coast, including Colonial Williamsburg and Claude Moore Colonial Farm.
Daniel earned his B.A. in History from the College of William and Mary and his M.S. in Data Analytics from American University. He currently works for Freddie Mac as a Capital Markets Manager.
