Plein Air Paint-Out: May 25 - 30th @ Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park from sunrise to sunset!

Wet Paint Sale & Soirée: Saturday May 30th, 4:00 to 8:00 PM @ Route 22 Gallery in Downtown Cochrane

LOCATIONS:

Route 22 Arist Collective Gallery: Artist sign-in, support stamping and swag bags during gallery hours (August 26 to 30th - 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM)

Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park: Plein air painting from sunrise to sunset!

Artists are encouraged to branch out and paint around the townsite, along the beautiful Bow river as well as Glenbow Ranch and the Cochrane Ranch - there are endless gorgeous spots for inspiration!

Registration Cost:

• Route 22 Members*: $30 (+ GST | FEES)
• Non-Members: $35 (+ GST | FEES)

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Artists will have an exciting opportunity to participate in the Come Paint Alberta Plein Air Circuit by registering for this fun, five-day event organized by the Route 22 Artist Collective Gallery.

As we did for the last year's festival, we will be opening up the week leading up to Tuesday, August 26th to allow plein air artists more time to paint during the opening hours of the Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park. This will help accommodate busy artists and/or unpredictable weather.

Artist will be required to have their canvas supports stamped with the official CPA stamp at the Route 22 Gallery during gallery hours before heading out to plein air paint.

Artists can pick up their swag bag at Route 22 on any morning during the festival days (26th to 30th). Inside each swag bag will be a one time use voucher to use at leisure for a beverage and a treat at a local coffee shop.

Artists will then head to the historic Glenbow Ranch Park Foundation (GRPF) to set up for some inspiring plein air painting.

The Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park tourist center will be open, but it is advisable to bring a packed lunch and water bottles as there are no other food services on site.

Parking at Glenbow Ranch Park is limited, so carpooling with a fellow artist from the Route 22 Gallery parking lot is also highly recommended!

ARTIST REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

Complimentary swag bag with items from community sponsors.

Complimentary drink and treat voucher for neighbouring coffee shops for use between August 26 - 30th.

Eligibility to submit 5 completed plein air artwork to the Wet Paint Sale.

• Plein air artwork must be finished and display ready for sale in the Route 22 Artist Collective Gallery from Tuesday, August 26th, through to Saturday, August 30th and for the Wet Paint Sale & Soirée on Saturday, August 30th (4:00 PM-8:00 PM).

**Artist will set the price of the completed plein air art piece. Artist commission is 60% on all wet paint art sales, and remaining proceeds will go towards supporting programs at Route 22 Artist Collective Gallery and the Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park **
