The secret inner turmoil of a great artist struggling to express his deepest fears and insights comes to life in a candid imagined memoir. Arts critic, Susan M. Mertens, brings Burnaby artist Jack Shadbolt—after whom the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts is named—vividly alive through his personal journals, letters and poems in her new book, Jack Shadbolt: In His Words. The Centre is delighted to host the launch of the book with an illustrated talk by the author. Books will be available for purchase.
