As one of our events this year the Hannibal Special Education Parent Teacher Alliance (PTO) will be hosting an art show and a vendor fair in the cafeteria at Hannibal High School from 9am to noon on Saturday, March 28th.
The art show has become an annual fundraiser for our PTO group. We will be taking donations of art pieces done by our special education students and classrooms and making those available to buy on March 28th. The money raised from the art sale goes back into events and activities that our PTO does each year such as pizza nights, sensory friendly dances, and family nights. If you are a teacher or parent that has items to donate please let us know.
This year we are also adding a vendor fair component. We want to highlight local businesses that are owned by individuals in our community with a disability. Vendor space will be free to these individuals. We know that there are so many creative and talented individuals who are passionate about the things they create and make. All money raised from sales at their tables/booths is theirs. We want to offer this vendor fair as a way to get them and their businesses recognized in the community. If you are a business owned by someone with a disability and you want to participate in the vendor fair, please email us at [email protected]. We’ll then send you a questionnaire of what you’ll need and a confirmation for your space.
After February 15th, if you are a business without a disability who wants to participate in the vendor fair we will have tables available for a $30 rental fee. We will be giving priority for tables though to businesses owned by individuals with a disability. The $30 vendor fee will go towards activities for our PTO.
