Anthology of Contemporary Ukrainian Short Fiction. Book Presentation

"Anthology of Contemporary Ukrainian Short Stories" is a unique international literary project implemented by the St. Volodymyr the Baptist Foundation of Kyivan Rus' in Krakow, which brought together a selection of the best contemporary Ukrainian short stories, selected on a competitive basis. The collection includes texts that represent a variety of styles, themes and artistic approaches, revealing the depth of the contemporary Ukrainian experience. The publication is prepared in Ukrainian, Polish and English, which significantly expands its accessibility for the international reader.
The aim of the project is to present Ukrainian literature in the world and strengthen its presence in the international cultural space. The anthology is distinguished by high-quality translations into Polish and English, as well as an artistic cover created in Kharkiv during the war, which gives the publication a special symbolic sound and emphasizes the invincibility of Ukrainian culture.
The grand premiere of the anthology took place on May 16, 2026 in Krakow with the participation of authors, translators, organizers, and representatives of the diplomatic, academic, cultural, and media circles. After that, the publication is to be presented in Kyiv, other cities in Poland, Ukraine, Europe, the United States of America, and Canada, continuing its mission of popularizing Ukrainian literature in the world.
