WINTER Canal Kids: Explore 4!
Animal Stories & Animal Tracks Along the Feeder Canal with James Bruchac
Join storyteller and tracker James Bruchac as he shares some of his favorite woodland animal tales, combined with information about reading the real stories they leave for us in the form of their tracks along the Feeder Canal Park. Some common tracks generally belong to white tailed deer, coyotes, red foxes, rabbits, and squirrels.
The author of multiple books of traditional animal legends including such favorites as How Chipmunk Got His Stripes, and Rabbit's Snow Dance, Mr. Bruchac has also written several guides on animal tracking and will bring these stories to life, helping kids better understand animal activity being made in their own backyards.
A citizen of the Nulhegan Abenaki Nation, James Bruchac is an award-winning author, storyteller, cultural educator, wilderness expert, and Director of The Ndakinna Education Center in Greenfield Center, New York.
