This camp focuses on wild animals and global habitats, encouraging students to observe, imagine, and create artwork inspired by creatures from rainforests, oceans, deserts, savannas, and arctic environments. Through drawing, painting, mixed media, and clay, campers will learn how artists study animal structure, movement, pattern, and texture to create expressive, meaningful artwork.
Projects are thoughtfully designed to build real art skills while leaving plenty of room for creativity and personal style. Students will work with professional-quality materials in a supportive studio environment that encourages experimentation, confidence, and growth.
What We’ll Create
Camp projects may include:
Expressive wild animal portraits inspired by animals from around the globe
Painted habitat scenes exploring ecosystems such as rainforests, oceans, deserts, and arctic environments
Pattern and camouflage studies focusing on stripes, spots, scales, and natural design
Handbuilt clay wildlife sculptures with attention to pose, texture, and form
(Clay pieces will be fired and ready for pickup after camp)
Students will explore drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, ink, mixed media, and clay while developing observation skills, creativity, and artistic voice.
All materials are included. Campers should wear clothes that can get messy.
