Dive into an unforgettable painting experience with nationally acclaimed artist and instructor Addison Palmer as he guides you through creating your own stunning sea turtle masterpiece in acrylics! This dynamic, hands-on workshop is designed for artists of all levels who want to capture the grace and beauty of these beloved ocean creatures on canvas.
Throughout this inspiring class, Addison will share expert techniques in composition, shadow and light, negative space, color mixing, and layering — essential skills that will elevate your painting and bring your sea turtle to life with depth and realism. Working from your own reference photographs, you'll receive personalized instruction and encouragement as Addison's engaging teaching style helps you build confidence with every brushstroke.
Whether you're picking up a brush for the first time or looking to refine your skills, you'll leave this workshop with a beautiful painting, new techniques, and the creative momentum to keep exploring your artistic journey.
A Percentage of the proceeds from this workshop will be donated to Sea Turtle Patrol in conjunction with our special Sea Turtle collaborative art exhibit at Art League Academy from July 21 through July 31, 2026.
NOTE:
Addison will be using heavy acrylics for this workshop! Those using other mediums are welcome to join, however, the processes Addison uses may not be applicable to your medium due to transparency and/or drying times.
SKILL LEVEL:
This course is designed for all levels of students, even beginners.
REFUND POLICY:
Ticket purchases to Art League of Hilton Head events are final. Credits or Refunds will not be given for missed or classes/workshops.
If a class or workshop is canceled by Art League of Hilton Head a full refund will be given.
