Step into a world of imagination at Mythical Mud Works, where legends come to life in clay! In this hands-on summer camp, young artists will explore the magical side of ceramics as they sculpt dragons, sea serpents, mermaids, trolls, and creatures of their own invention.
Campers will learn foundational clay techniques, including handbuilding, texture creation, sculpting details, and colorful glazing. From crafting enchanted spell boxes to designing magical monster mouths and mythical trolls, every day brings a new adventure in mud.
On Fridays, they will have the opportunity to glaze their masterpieces with their preferred underglazes. We will then dry and fire their clay in a bisque fire, followed by a glaze fire. The projects will be ready to pick up approximately four weeks after camp ends.
